Congratulations to Molly Gifford and Serenity Dunn, our Class of 2029 REACH Scholarship recipients! We are so proud of your hard work and can't wait to see what your future holds. The two 8th graders signed their contract at a special luncheon recognizing all of our REACH scholars.
The REACH Georgia Scholarship Program began in 2012 as our state’s first need-based scholarship and mentoring initiative. Its mission is to serve promising students by providing the resources, support, and guidance needed to help them excel in their educational journeys. From graduating high school to enrolling in and completing their studies at an eligible postsecondary institution, these scholars are being equipped to step confidently into their future roles as vital members of Georgia’s workforce.
REACH is more than a scholarship; it is a partnership. It is a collaboration between students, families, schools, mentors, and generous sponsors, all working together to invest in the potential of our youth. The program not only provides financial assistance but also fosters the character development, leadership skills, and community connections needed for long-term success.
We’d like to thank our sponsor, Oglethorpe Power, for their commitment to these students and their continued support of our district.
