Jackson & Teresa Daniel with Jim Finch and Stuart Pippin

The Monroe County Board of Education named Jackson Daniel a Friend of Education at its November 12 meeting. A “Friend of Education” is a person or business that is making a profound and positive impact on students, staff, and the community through supporting Monroe County Schools.

Jackson Daniel has been not only a pillar of Monroe County Schools for 28 years, but also a true Friend of Education. Mr. Daniel has made a lasting impact on our schools, our students, and our community. Unlike most of our leadership, his career did not begin in the education field, but in business and media.  That background brought a special skill set to our leadership team, making him an invaluable resource.  His work has touched so many areas, from finance and media relations to human resources, and his influence is deeply felt throughout Monroe County.

Mr. Daniel’s contributions go beyond what we see on paper. His commitment to the arts is something that stands out—he was one of the key proponents for the development of the Monroe County Fine Arts Center, a place where students can express themselves and experience the richness of the arts. Thanks to his vision and dedication, our community has a space that enriches the lives of students, educators, and families alike. It’s a testament to his belief in the power of creativity and culture in education.  That belief continues today.  Despite his retirement, Mr. Daniel continues to attend our student productions, and volunteer at the FAC in any way possible.

In finance, Mr. Daniel has been the steward of our resources, ensuring that Monroe County Schools can thrive. For many years, he also took on the role of media relations, strengthening our connection to the community, sharing our vision and the stories that matter. And in human resources, he has always been a champion for the people, supporting the teachers, staff, and administrators who bring our schools to life each day.

Jackson Daniel’s legacy will continue to inspire us all, reminding us of the profound impact one dedicated individual can have. We are so grateful to have had Mr. Daniel by our side, and we look forward to honoring his legacy for years to come.

Thank you, Mr. Daniel, for your service, your leadership, your friendship, and for being a true Friend of Education for Monroe County Schools.
